The Ottawa Health & Wellness Expo is recognized as one of the most well attended health events in the history of the Ottawa area. The statistics from on-line analytics and customer & vendor surveys showed our reach in the community increased over last year along with astounding positive feedback from both the attendees and the vendors. Thanks to television, radio, newspaper, and online advertising, the Ottawa Health & Wellness Expo reached approximately 200,000 people.
In addition to this event being a great success, the Mayor of Ottawa, Mr. Jim Watson made a special visit to proclaim January as Health & Wellness Month in the city of Ottawa.
The Ottawa community now knows, there is no better place to open your “storefront’ to thousands of highly qualified consumers in one day. People are searching for ways to be healthier and to make positive choices in their lives.
We invite you to be part of this natural health and environmental trend happening in our city. Healthy lifestyle choices, mind-body connection, and improved quality of life have all become market buzzwords, and for good reason. In today’s world, we need to pay much more attention to caring for ourselves. Become a sponsor or an exhibitor and join us in bringing to our community, the health and wellness it is seeking.
The Ottawa Health & Wellness Expo draws the most dynamic, active consumers in Ottawa. Based on last year’s attendance of over 2500 people, we expect an increase in attendance every year as the awareness in our community increases. Our attendees represent one of the fastest growing market segments with real purchasing power. These consumers are serious buyers who have already qualified themselves by taking steps towards health, self-improvement and fitness.
According to an article in Time Magazine on North Americans’ out-of-pocket spending on health care, each year we fork out some $33.9 Billion for “complementary and alternative medicine” — on everything ranging from acupuncture and massage therapy to yoga and herbal supplements. The nearly $40 Billion in spending represents just 1.5% of overall annual health care costs, which hover around a whopping $2.2 trillion, but 11.2% of all out-of-pocket expenditures. Women now make 83% of all consumer buys, including 94%of home products, which includes health and wellness products.
