What is Nimble Kids?
Yvette Halpin, owner of Nimble Kids, has been working with children to help them reach their greatest potential for over twenty years. Her experiences have led her to the become a Developmental Support Practitioner, which allows her to target neuro-developmental processes that are essential to milestone achievement in every child. There are many factors in utero, during birth and early infancy that have an important influence on later behavioral and learning challenges. Because of the brain’s plasticity, missed developmental stages from birth onwards, can remedy many of today’s symptoms such as Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia to name a few. Through assessment, individualized programs and workshops, Nimble Kids guides children and their families how to integrate reflexes and develop sensory functions that were missed, allowing them to achieve milestones that were previously out of reach.
What sets Nimble Kids apart from other businesses in the industry?
As a private developmental support practice, Yvette is able to offer assessment and support services in your home. With over two decades of experience supporting children with varying degrees of needs, Yvette’s aim is to have children work towards their potential without the mindset that there is something ‘wrong’ with them. By providing simple and fun exercises for them to complete, children begin to treat the underlying cause of their issues and gain confidence. Yvette also offers cold laser therapy as a bonus to quicken the maturation of the nervous system, propelling clients to even greater results! Nimble Kids can provide a receipt for Ontario and Quebec residents as a Naturotherapist registered with the Association des Naturotherapeutre du Quebec (ANQ).
What clients does Yvette enjoy working with most?
Yvette has been working mostly with children ages 3 to 12 and is now finding it equally rewarding working with newborns and infants in their first year of life. As her practice is so family oriented and fascinating, she has also had the opportunity to work with adolescent children and even the parents of the children that she has as client! They are motivated in helping themselves and appreciate these tools that Yvette can offer to work with the causes of their hindrance(s). All this to say, Yvette loves working with anyone with a physical body! No matter your age, Nimble Kids can shed light on issues that may go back as far as birth. Due to the neuroplasticity of the brain neurodevelopmental delay can be largely, partly or wholly corrected at any age by redoing the developmental stages of early infancy. Isn’t that great news?
