What is Hikano?
Hikano Wellness in Motion is the newest and only yoga and mobility studio in Cumberland. Owned by Jackie Leduc, it was opened in the spring; April 10th 2017
Jackie offers Mobility Tune-Up classes as well as yoga classes. Her class sizes are Maximum 8 for Tune-up and maximum 12 for yoga to ensure individualized attention for each of the participants.
What sets Hikano apart from other businesses in the health and wellness industry?
Jackie creates a safe space for those who are intimidated by or are new to yoga. She also empowers individuals to understand proper body mechanics, therapeutic movement and self-massage during the mobility tune-up classes ( and infuse the yoga classes with those wise methods)
Jackie specializes in Pelvic Floor Health tune-up for both women and men. She offers a 4 module workshop in which people struggling with pelvic floor issues can learn how to regain control of what may be causing their struggles. She helps people live, laugh and leap without pain or embarrassment.
Jackie will be launching an online pelvic floor health tune-up workshop online in the spring of 2018. At present time, she offers one-to-one life and wellness coaching helping individuals reach their wellness, fitness, mindfulness and health goals.
Osteopaths, massage therapists, physiotherapists and chiropractors refer their clients to Hikano, and vice versa.
Who does Jackie enjoy working with the most?
Jackie loves to work with people who are not fond of big box gyms. She is there for those who like a more intimate, stress-free, high-quality service setting.
Jackie has over 35 years of experience in the fitness and wellness industry. She has an undergraduate degree in Education majoring in Physical Education Specializing in Fitness ( B. Ed, Phys Ed, fitness). She also completed graduate studies in Exercise Physiology at McGill University. She has certifications in Fitness, Personal Training, TraumaPractik methods, Yoga, Indoor Cycling, Sports Conditioning, Reiki, Yoga Tune-up as well as Strategic Intervention Coaching.
