We believe we have the most incredible lineup of vendors participating at the 2013 Expo. In fact, we’re so proud of them, we want everyone to know more about who they are and how their business fits in to the Expo’s passion for seeing Ottawa the healthiest city in Canada. We recently sent our vendors a list of four questions. Between now and the Expo, we will be highlighting some of these amazing vendors. Watch our blog every Tuesday & Saturday morning for another vendor spotlight.
Our first spotlight is on Janet Gray, a financial consultant and winner of the 2011 Financial Services Person of the Year Award!
Who are you?
I am a long time resident of Orleans (since 1980), active in community projects like the Orleans Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre, Orleans Festival, etc. – I love this community. It’s great when what you do professionally aligns with what you love personally. I love getting to know people and their goals, and working with them to find a plan or solution.
How long have you been in business?
12 years as a Certified Financial Planner with a leading Canadian financial services company.
What is your business all about?
Financial Planning is very personal and individual. You decide what your goals are and how best to reach them. I offer the expert knowledge and framework to help obtain those goals. But you are always in the driver’s seat.
The Expo focuses on four themes: be fit, eat right, think well, go green. Which of these does your business incorporate?
Think well. It’s amazing how your financial situation can affect your personal life in terms of stress (if not going well) or happiness (if going well). Having a good understanding of your finances and having a plan in place will lift the mystery from your life and you will feel better.
