We believe we have the most incredible lineup of vendors participating at the 2013 Expo. In fact, we’re so proud of them, we want everyone to know more about who they are and how their business fits in to the Expo’s passion for seeing Ottawa the healthiest city in Canada. We recently sent our vendors a list of four questions. Between now and the Expo, we will be highlighting some of these amazing vendors. Watch our blog every Tuesday & Saturday morning for another vendor spotlight.
This post focuses on Réflexe Santé, and the owner, Louise Groulx.
Who are you?
Born and raised in Orléans, I studied biology and found my true passion in healthcare. I soon turned to nursing and graduated from the University of Ottawa and worked as a registered nurse in a local hospital. However, my career took different paths, such as teaching and business administration but my heart was still with my real passion, health and wellness. Life long learning and experiences opened my eyes to reflexology, a natural healing and health maintenance therapy. I now practice reflexology full time after becoming a certified reflexology therapist and opening the micro-clinic Réflexe Santé in early 2012. My other passions are my children and grandchildren, cycling in our wonderful city and the occasional camping adventures in the great outdoors.
What is your business all about?
Our mission at the micro-clinic Réflexe Santé is to help you reach your health and wellness goals by providing natural therapeutic solutions in the hands of skilled and caring professionals. Réflexe Santé is one of the only clinics in Ottawa totally dedicated to the practice of reflexology and its services are provided in both French and English. It also produces and uses only natural massage oils designed in-house to accentuate the benefits of the treatments.
Although Réflexe Santé’s Orléans micro-clinic provides a warm and inviting environment favourable to relaxation and wellbeing, we have also set up a mobile clinic in many festivals and events throughout the region. Our goal is to promote the benefits of maintaining a healthy lifestyle by introducing and offering reflexology treatments to festival goers and provide support to tired volunteers.
