We believe we have the most incredible lineup of vendors participating at the 2013 Expo. In fact, we’re so proud of them, we want everyone to know more about who they are and how their business fits in to the Expo’s passion for seeing Ottawa the healthiest city in Canada. We recently sent our vendors a list of four questions. Between now and the Expo, we will be highlighting some of these amazing vendors. Watch our blog every Tuesday & Saturday morning for another vendor spotlight.
Who are you?
I am the Executive Director for the Heart of Orléans/Shop St Joseph Business Improvement Area (BIA)
How long have you been in business?
The BIA has been around since 2007 .
What is your business all about?
We help market, promote and advocate for the businesses along St. Joseph Blvd between Youville and Prestone Drive. We also have businesses on Place D’Orléans Dr, Centrum and Jeanne D’Arc. There are 400 small to medium size businesses that fall within that catchment area
The Expo focuses on four themes: be fit, eat right, think well, go green. Which of these does your business incorporate?
We are trying to make the area more pedestrian and cycle friendly. We have added a parkette or rest area for people to encourage them to want to walk along the street, but to have a spot to sit and rest under the shade and people watch.
